Our adventure in the cave

plague vendor kindly asked us on wednesday(?) to play with them on saturday at LA CAVEEE IN COSTA MESA,
when we arrived, we felt as if we were about to enter the restaurant/salsa club that Ricky Ricardo worked at in I love Lucy.
we figured it was owned by a cuban mafioso man with a large belly and greased hair

-dark rooms
-21& over
-getting X'ed up &bullied by the security guards
-classy music & older couples
-"i feel like we should cover some frank sinatra.."
-laughing hard at the situation
-the homies plague vendor
-setting up, buzzed guy "we're ready for you guys to play!"
-dead
-"lets just make this fun.."
-out of step, out of place
-first time with adrian back!
-"is anyone else sweating as much as me?..YES!"
-rude humans who had too much to drink
-pleasant crossing towards bro "i liked you guys man! what are you guys called?..you play a mean bass!"
-"if i catch you with a drink in there..i'm beating your a**"
-great freeway feelings

do you remember this night?
where we played the last west covina high school "battle of the bands" that we'd experience, being a part of the school?
with all the homies-buster brown, Tijuanasaurus rex, the dares, cubby & the bears, campfire classic, cityscape theatre,etc.
and we ended up winning! and they gave us a hundred dollars to the west covina mall!

well, we've still got those hundred dollars and we were thinking. we want to celebrate this exciting win with all of our friends, with all of the people who have helped out alot, who like or support us in anyway, or with people who want to celebrate summer along with us!

so we got the idea to buy everyone a scoop of ice cream! either at baskin robbins, (that's about two dollars per person right?)
or mcdonalds vanilla ice cream in a cone(one dollar i think?)
and since Andy works at Redwood box in the mall, he has made friends with many mall-rats (employees) & he passes out demos to people who order coffees & lotto tickets, and chocolate bars and everything they sell there. so the manager of Hot Topic asked us to play in the store

EPIPHANY!
we'll play the show, every friend comes, watches, summer celebrates, then we walk down the mall to get ice cream!

hopefully everyone can make it because the more friends, the more fun the whole night will be
if a billion people end up showing up for the show and ice cream, we'll have to do a stamped hands, first come first served 'til we run out of the hundred dollars, but hopefully everyone can get ice cream

Donkey Patches

these donkey patches took long to make, plus i'm amateur, but andy was pro, a true paintbrush in the lines guy!
watch out artist institute, donkeys are unloved most of the time
set aside for the greater animals, like the beautiful horses that they look up to.
we decided it was their time to shine
