aaron asked danny, "what's up with wilderness? are you guys dead?"
this made us realize that people must think we're dead because we never update anything via internet much anymore, we've been quite caught up in the life>interwebs aspect of life.
actually, we're very much alive, kicking screaming, pooping & crying.
we're working hard to finish writing,we want at least ten songs on our future(ep?not sure what to call it),so we've got three more to write. we're planning on recording with earth capital sometime in march.
we're in andy's garage every friday practicing & creating.
don't make the burial plans for us folks.

the headphone strap is cutting into my scalp. probably not
we want to record an ep soon, but phillip had a situation with his mixer, so we're going to try out recording with andy's mixer-two inputs, & if it works, YES! IF IT DOESN'T..
expect seeing a show being planned soon, to help raise money for a new mixer for phillip.
because phillip gives us a comfortable bed in between takes, water & drinks, and countless recording hours/

lots of things have taken place. we're back at four members, thank you for your previous hardwork, we love you.
the show at the pomona campus of the claremont colleges went pretty solid,
there was a group of about 30 students, gave us their saturday night.pretty sweet
you could tell they let loose from all the hours of studying..showed us a "new way to dance" as kinison would say,
the space was large with a cool underground bathroom

we tore down and walked in the cold to frozen yogurt,
came back in time to watch happy hollows.
they ruled, we became fans.
we exchanged numbers and talked of future shows.

1.Chele(Alex) got her camera in the mail today..this means new live and for fun shots. yesss
lets all say it. yesss
2. we're talking with plague vendor about touring this upcoming august,west coast.
it's going to happen. but we need money for it, so buy our patches!
3.shirts. soon.waiting on the homies..pam,suzanne,mark,jake & might buy from adam. talent in la dispute
4.still need a place and a person to record with. we've got one more song to write, then we want to record

SO, tonight's show was cancelled. Because Laura's aunt came from El Salvador & well Plague Vendor couldn't make it, or buster brown. so why not cancel. days will come again

but on a brighter side, we've got some new merch! (oh faaann)

Andy was nice enough to fabric shop and screenprint, & vouila. we like
They're $1.
that one dollar leads to a t-shirt purchased by us
we're waiting on shirt designs from pam & suzanne, and once that's all set
well start selling shirts, save all those dollars and change and whatever there is for gas money.
we want to west coast tour this summer. very dearly.
so if you want, help us out. that'd rule

Tomorrow's the Pomona campus show with Happy Hollows. we'll let you know how it goes(if you can't come)..it's going to rule hopefully

Just a quick show update for 11/14 for Wilderness:

Load in: 7:30 pm
Soundcheck: 8pm
Wilderness set time: 9pm

We've got three bands playing after Wilderness, so it's important that we get started right at 9 or we won't be able to get everyone to play full sets. We're hoping Wilderness will play a half-hour set.

The show is in Walker Lounge, which is at the corner of Dartmouth and College in Claremont (North of the radio station). If the band has any issues on or before show day, they should feel free to call me at 610-662-9165. Thanks!

was classy, beautiful, martha stewart-lovely, drinks but not piss drunk, 60's garage, good vibes and good people. band meeting beforehand, changing of miscommunications. all for the best. the five of us blended into functional arrays of sounds and colors, coming together for the final blast off of sound. the whole night was fantastic. brian jonestown and sludgy conversations with hippie feels. one of the best backyard shows ever

Playing in Hell

finding the venue was a somewhat difficult task, we realized we had made it when we saw young humans sitting outside of it, & we took out magnifying glasses to see the sign "black castle"
the stage was super large, and high up, we weren't used to it but we made fun out of it with the fog machine going, sweat dripping. we premiered our new song, still untitled, friendship themed. full energy & speed. thanks to Christian for putting it all together. the arcade games on the side ruled, brainfreeze being back together was a fly thing, and becoming friends with LOJ was grand. we made it to hell and back again. cheesy but when are we ever gonna be able to say that? hahaaha

Andy's cabinets collapsed which led to everytttthinggg being moved into the garage.
our practice space.

so practices are postponed, until true pleased feelings are created from the kitchen & it's completeness.

Our second show playing at an ID-checking, bouncer in the front, 1/2 of the band not being able to get in until we play: bar/venue.

special thanks to: claudia, rebecca & danny's cousins & uncle
We got together at Danny's house to practice since our usual Andy's garage spot is being infested by kitchen litter for the time-being. After touring and touring the unknown grounds & making mac & cheese, we got to work.
Jogged through our set in the dark & tried to come up with an ending to our in-the-making new song. It's fairly in your face thrashy yet catchy. we likeeee it/
packed up & took off to Broadway, where bums ask for money and pretend that their wives are following behind them to give you more of an incentive to donate, when really the woman knows not of the man at all.

Not being allowed to get in for our under-age sins we loitered & indulged at the king of all tacos.

we sweet talked the security and got X'ed up, we entered a dim lit couch bar

The set itself went really well, the sound guy was on it, running around everywhere, the vocals were limited to a small square of space which limited the moving around which equaled not getting tired which equaled hitting every note. the drums were mic'ed & everyone was together, it was rad.

through all the mistakes, line of lyric being forgotten & fail breaks the show last night was somewhat of a success.

people were into us & the patches got snatched up really quickly, they were gone before our set was even over. free balloons were enjoyed and were tossed around during our set

we got asked for an encore (hahahaahha) and played a tired "regurgitate"

we got our picture taken inside of Andy's mom's retro cavern.

Andy bought bags & bags of balloons to fulfill a dream he's always had but forgot to bring them for this specific day, so we took a trip to the party supply store in Downey where we searched for balloons and tissue paper for literally thirty minutes. the place had almost forty aisles and none of the workers had any clue where anything was.

Our adventure in the cave

plague vendor kindly asked us on wednesday(?) to play with them on saturday at LA CAVEEE IN COSTA MESA,
when we arrived, we felt as if we were about to enter the restaurant/salsa club that Ricky Ricardo worked at in I love Lucy.
we figured it was owned by a cuban mafioso man with a large belly and greased hair

-dark rooms
-21& over
-getting X'ed up &bullied by the security guards
-classy music & older couples
-"i feel like we should cover some frank sinatra.."
-laughing hard at the situation
-the homies plague vendor
-setting up, buzzed guy "we're ready for you guys to play!"

-first time with adrian back!

do you remember this night?
where we played the last west covina high school "battle of the bands" that we'd experience, being a part of the school?
with all the homies-buster brown, Tijuanasaurus rex, the dares, cubby & the bears, campfire classic, cityscape theatre,etc.
and we ended up winning! and they gave us a hundred dollars to the west covina mall!

well, we've still got those hundred dollars and we were thinking. we want to celebrate this exciting win with all of our friends, with all of the people who have helped out alot, who like or support us in anyway, or with people who want to celebrate summer along with us!

so we got the idea to buy everyone a scoop of ice cream! either at baskin robbins, (that's about two dollars per person right?)
or mcdonalds vanilla ice cream in a cone(one dollar i think?)
and since Andy works at Redwood box in the mall, he has made friends with many mall-rats (employees) & he passes out demos to people who order coffees & lotto tickets, and chocolate bars and everything they sell there. so the manager of Hot Topic asked us to play in the store

EPIPHANY!
we'll play the show, every friend comes, watches, summer celebrates, then we walk down the mall to get ice cream!

hopefully everyone can make it because the more friends, the more fun the whole night will be
if a billion people end up showing up for the show and ice cream, we'll have to do a stamped hands, first come first served 'til we run out of the hundred dollars, but hopefully everyone can get ice cream

Donkey Patches

these donkey patches took long to make, plus i'm amateur, but andy was pro, a true paintbrush in the lines guy!
watch out artist institute, donkeys are unloved most of the time

about a week ago, andy, adrian and I were walking into

in Baldwin Park, we're just about to enter when adrian says "...hey guys.....i can be in the band again."
this means

PARTY TIME FOR EVERYONE!

adrian was pretty much the reason why we wrote a four song demo in one month, he's got extremely catchy and creative ideas swinging around in his playground of a mind, he quotes too many movies, always has his pokemon deck with him, knows every blink 182 song on bass, writes stories, has nervous ticks and side glance conversations and all in all is a great friend and musician!

so to say the least...yeah.
we're excited.

last night we played at the smell

thank you to Kitten for asking us to play last minute; they are official hawmies now.

Aside from the cholo homeless guy telling me "WHATAREYOULOOKINGAT!?" at subway, everything went great.
we really wanted to play on the ground, but we wanted to be together(like a happy family) and the drums were already mic'ed on the stage
